I enjoyed this post from my co-collaborator, Helen V Smith about a Family History writing seminar she attended.

This shows my reasoning a few years ago. The article was published in the Journal of the Guild of One-name Studies.

This is where I discovered it all began, “my” Burtons were fishermen in Staithes from at least 1580. But where were they before that?
